W. T. Whittington and Charles Whittington returned Friday evening from Tampa, Fla., where they have been on a business and pleasure trip for the past three weeks. They brought back with them the body of their uncle, W. J. Davis, who died there about a year ago. The body was placed in the receiving vault at Oak Hill Cemetery and some time in April will be interred in Freedom Cemetery, to which Mr. Davis left a thousand dollars in his will. He also provided for a monument to cost $2,000, which will be erected over his grave this summer. Mr. Davis was a former resident of Montgomery County, living at Waveland, and later at Indianapolis, going from Indianapolis to Florida. His widow is now a resident of St. Petersburg, Fla., being in poor health. Mr. Davis was quite wealthy at the time of his death.
